The Journey Begins

Hello! My name is Kaye and I teach elementary school. My husband, Earl, works for the citizens of our county. This blog is a record of our journey to find a way to fulfill our dreams of having a positive impact on our community while also securing our financial future and getting more enjoyment out of life. Along the way, we hope to share with you what we learn, our successes and failures, and a little bit about our vision to make our corner of the world a better place than we found it. We also hope to learn from you about your vision for your community and the ways you've found to overcome the financial limitations that make it difficult for you to make the changes you envision. What improvements would you like to see? Lower crime, neighborhood beautification, affordable health care, preservation of natural areas, better housing? All of these are things that come to my mind. I'm sure you can think of many more. But sometimes we're so busy just trying to make a living, we think we don't have time to make a difference. Earl and I decided we wanted to change our priorities. So a few months ago, we started learning all we could about how to bring about change in our financial and personal lives. It's been a life-changing experience already, and we can't wait to share it with you.
